D.as if A since既然 B even if 即使 C though尽管
39. but 转折连词,前后连接两个意思相反的内容,根据后半句he was keeping an eye on me他在看着我, 因此选择C pretending 他在假装看报纸 A hoping 希望B thinking想 D continuing 继续做某事
A see
One afternoon I was sitting at my favorite table in a restaurant , waiting for the food I had ordered to arrive .
42.根据下文that all the waiters in the restaurant knew me ,所有的侍者都认识我,因此选择B familiar熟悉的
43. A.chatted with sb和……闲聊 B looked at 看 C laughed at嘲笑 D talked about谈论 但是talk about 后面加sth因此选择A ,本题考察的是词组的搭配和用法
44. as time goes on adv B time
C clear
46. 根据文章最后一段, 第4行, “He came into the kitchen and showed me a photo of the wanted man. D kitchen
47. “他”从厨房出来,付了帐,也没看我一眼, 可知是他走了, 选择A left 离开B acted 行动,表演C sat down 坐下D calmed down镇静, 安静下来
He came into the kitchen and showed me a photo of the wanted man.
D was looking for
I said, “什么,怎么会这样?” B.surprise
52 I say he looked very much like you ! A must
